Frequently asked

How do I build a running loop?

Create a new loop and map it with turn-by-turn points. surge15 adds a 20-meter start gate and auto-stop so every lap covers the exact same distance — that's what makes your times comparable session to session.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, email, or password. Download the app and start training — there's nothing to log in to and no profile to create.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Other than your device acquiring a GPS signal, surge15 needs no internet connection. You can build routes, record sessions, and review history with no connection at all.

My distance or splits look off — what can I do?

GPS accuracy depends on your surroundings. For the best results, let your phone get a solid signal before starting, and run in open areas away from tall buildings or dense tree cover. Re-running the same fixed loop keeps comparisons fair even if absolute distance drifts slightly.

Can I track exercises other than running?

Yes. Log the full functional mix — lunges, burpee broad jumps, rows, wall balls, rest, and more — each in its own units, alongside your runs. Build reusable templates and turn any plan into a tracked day with a checklist.

Where is my data stored, and how do I delete it?

Everything lives only on your phone — nothing is uploaded or synced. To remove your data, delete it within the app or uninstall surge15; once it's gone, there are no copies held anywhere else. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I request a feature or report a bug?

Email us at hello@software78.com. Feature ideas are genuinely welcome — a lot of the app comes from runner feedback.
